| Abstract: | A retrospective review of records of patients attending Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH), Central Hospital and West Hospital was done from 2013 to 2016 to assess the mortality and morbidity caused by communicable and non-communicable diseases burden which were of epidemic status in relation to the environment. Further investigation showed that poor environmental sanitation is due to rapid population growth and unplanned urbanization resulting in higher disease burden. |
