dc.description.abstract | The urban water supply sector in Ghana is in the early stages of privatization. In spite of the perceived benefits of private sector participation in the water sector, civil organizations in many developing countries remain skeptical about the role of the private sector in the water industry. It is argued in this paper that the public- private- partnership could be fashioned out to address the chal- lenges in the management of the water sector. Critical areas in- clude education of the general public, a model for privatization and regulatory framework for the privatization of the urban water jar Ghana need to be addressed. | en_US |
