Abstract: The study investigated the use of instructional materials in teaching Agricultural science at the Senior High Schools in the Ho municipality. For the purpose of this study, the research design adopted was the survey design. The target population for this study comprised all Agricultural science students in the Ho municipality in the Volta region of Ghana. The sample size was 500 students and 30 teachers of the Agricultural science programme drawn randomly from public senior high schools in the Municipality. Two different instruments used to collect data were Agricultural Science Achievement Test (ASAT) and the Teachers’ Attitude Towards Teaching Agricultural Science Questionnaire (TATTAQ). Data were analysed using the Analysis of Variance tool (ANOVA). The study found that that there was a strong relationship between availability and the use of instructional materials and the academic performance of Agricultural science students. It could regularly incorporate the use of instructional materials in teaching and learning sessions.
