Child Poverty has got a number of negative effects on Children education. The effects of poverty on children are wide reaching and can lead to lifelong struggles especially when young children do not receive full education. To appreciate the effect of child poverty on children’s education, the descriptive survey research was conducted using 100 children who were purposely selected from the Nambeg Community of the Jirapa District of the Upper West Region. The researcher using the questionnaire collected the primary data and the data analysed using both inferential and descriptive statistical tools. The study revealed that there was a level of poverty among children in Nambeg. Child poverty were caused by childhood diseases and death of parents. There was an effect of child poverty on their education (r=0.000 at p=0,05). On the government interventions to reduce child poverty, they were no significant government interventions to reduce child poverty. However, interventions such as provision of furniture, enforcing child labour laws and provision of advanced library in the community could make education accessible. To help eliminate child poverty, the government must foster an understanding of child poverty and facilitate the policies aimed at reducing child poverty.en_US
